Tehran–Bishkek Ties Highlighted as Civilizational and Historical

Bishkek – Dr. Fallahzadeh, President of the International University of Islamic Denominations, underlined the civilizational and historical nature of relations between Iran and Kyrgyzstan during his visit to Bishkek State University’s Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations.

Hawzah News Agency- The meeting was attended by Talasbek Mashrafev, Dean of the Faculty, Kanatbek Tokhtobayev, Vice-Chancellor of Bishkek State University, Mirlan Dildiev, Dean of the University, alongside Iranian officials and a large number of students.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Fallahzadeh stressed the important role of youth in shaping the future, noting that scientific and cultural exchanges between Iran and Kyrgyzstan illustrate the deep-rooted ties of the two nations. “The future of the world is shaped by science, and students bear the responsibility of building this future through knowledge and education,” he said.

Highlighting Iran’s experience in academic and cultural convergence, he pointed to the unique presence of students and professors from various Islamic denominations at his university as a model of unity and moderation. He also commended the Department of Oriental Studies and language programs at Bishkek State University as a global example of preparing future leaders.

For his part, the President of Bishkek State University welcomed the Iranian delegation, describing the visit as a sign of the strategic importance of bilateral cooperation in the scientific and cultural fields. He also emphasized the expansion of Persian language programs and scholarships as a means to strengthen linguistic and cultural ties between the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to expand cooperation in scientific, educational, research, and cultural fields within the framework of a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations at Bishkek State University plays a key role in training specialists in the languages, history, culture, economics, and international relations of Eastern countries, offering courses in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, English, Persian, and Turkish.
